    Noni is a widely known and recognized fruit in Southeast Asia and in the countries of the Pacific Ocean area; it is used to improve physical well-being and in cases of disease. In the Hawaiian Islands, the yellow and red colors are obtained from the trunk and roots of the Noni, which are used as a dye. The unripe fruit in times of famine is used as a food.
